So, Ryan Reynolds announced that he was going to be following-up his studio flicks X-Men Origins: Wolverine and X-Men Origins: The Proposal with an indie thriller by Spanish director Rodrigo Cortes. Buried is the story of a civilian contractor who is kidnapped in Iraq and buried alive in a coffin out in the desert. Not to be confused with the forthcoming adaptation of Candyland, where a civilian contractor is kidnapped in Iraq and buried alive in a coffin out in the dessert.Until now, we've gotten the usual schlock about how it's going to be a great acting challenge, how a bulk of the film focuses on Reynolds, and how he'll will really stretch himself.Now we're getting word from The Playlist that he won't be stretching himself. Because he'll be inside a coffin for the entire run-time of the film. By himself. The entire movie.The money quote:It's the only movie I've ever heard of with only one person in it. So it's just me, I'm the only person in the whole movie so, I don't know. We'll see. It's either going to be, you know, the greatest, most experimental cool movie ever made or god knows what," Reynolds said.That sounds like a perfect wording of the exact question you'll need to be asking yourself. Does this thing have a chance at being great? Or does is sound like a gimmick that gets shoved down the audience's throat for almost an hour and a half? Do you want to see a guy armed only with a cell phone, knife, and candle trying to dig his way out of a coffin for that long? Full Body Alice in Wonderland Pics Could be PETA

I realize I haven't written anything in a while, as you may know. Unfortunately, there was a rather large pool invested with people and loud, popular music that I needed to go stake out. Luckily, it turns out there hasn't been much news anyway. At least nothing all that interesting.But there's are actually really cool.Just two weeks ago we posted up some Hi-Res art from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland that looked like an 18th century Heroine addict's fever dream. Now, from Planet Disney (via /film) come these full body (although not nearly as Hi-Res) shots of Mia Wasikowska as Alice, Helena Bonham Carter as The Red Queen, and Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter.As you can tell, the production team would only need to slap on a PETA logo to have a fantastic little ad campaign.Jokes aside, these images actually reminded me how animal-heavy the original books were. Basically everything in that kingdom was some version of trippy talking animal life (and food with hilarious instructive labels), so I'm wondering how much fauna is going to be present in this film.You may be wondering why Alice is so old, but as you may recall, this film isn't a straight adaptation of the Lewis Carroll books. Instead, it's a look at a 17-year-old Alice who is brought back to Wonderland while there's major unrest amongst the insane citizens who are hoping she can save them.As a major Burton fan who almost never gets tired of his aesthetic, I can barely wait until March of next year to see this thing. At the rate they're going with material, though, we might be seeing teaser trailers as early as November for this thing.
