The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Owen Wilson has signed on to voice the rascally Great Dane “Marmaduke” for Fox’s adaptation of the long-running newspaper comic strip. The film will follow a family named the Winslows who move from Kansas to Orange County, and their giant slobbering dog Marmaduke, who causes chaos wherever he goes.The strip was created in 1954 by Brad Anderson about a giant Great Dane dog and his misadventures causing trouble throughout the neighborhood.Judy Greer, Lee Pace and William H. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Keir Gilchrist has been cast as the lead in “It’s Kind of a Funny Story” from Focus Features and writer-directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck.Gilchrist joins Zach Galifianakis, Emma Roberts, Viola Davis, Jim Gaffigan, Zoe Kravitz, Aasif Mandavi, and Lauren Graham. “It’s Kind of a Funny Story” is a coming-of-age comedy-drama adaptation of Ned Vizzini’s 2006 novel about a 16-year old who checks himself into a mental health clinic to deal with stress. DreamWorks Buys How to Survive a Robot Uprising

DreamWorks Studios and Doubleday have acquired, in a pre-emptive deal, the rights to Daniel H. Wilson's unpublished manuscript, Robopocalypse. The story "explores the fate of the human race following a robot uprising." The film project is being fast tracked and the book is tentatively being scheduled for a 2011 publication. No writer, director or actors have yet been attached. But what makes this different from any of the robot uprising films we've seen in the past? Details after the jump.Robopocalypse won't be a hugely fantastical tale of the robot uprising, but aims to be more realistic. Wilson has a background in robotics and artificial intelligence which Doubleday Executive Editor and Vice President Jason Kaufman claims "grounds his story with a frightening level of realism and he has created an exhilarating story that we think audiences will really respond to." TV News: V Brings on Chuck Showrunner, Zuleikha
Robinson Now a Lost Series Regular

If you had issues with the V series premiere tonight, there is a chance that the series could get better as the season goes on, especially now that we've learned that Chuck showrunner Scott Rosenbaum will be taking over the show as executive producer/showrunner. The fledgling series is no stranger to creative struggles. Original showrunner Jeff Bell (Angel, Alias) was replaced in the summer by Scott Peters (The 4400), who also wrote the pilot. Peters will continue working on the show, but the heavy lifting will now be Rosenbaum's duty.This is good news for V, because the show could certainly use some polishing. Even though we had heard that the pilot was getting slightly reworked, I didn't see much of a difference from the version we saw at Comic-con. The dialog is still clunky as all hell, and as much as I loved Elizabeth Mitchell in Lost, she remains completely ...
