Drag Me To Hell (2009)
Dir: Sam Raimi
A young woman is cursed by an elderly gypsy and her life becomes a living hell.
Enjoyable B-Movie from Sam Raimi, returning to the kind of horror that made his name. The film is a thrill ride of scares and gore, with a number of effective jump-out-your-seat moments. Alison Lohman is great in the lead and though the plot is a little obvious, it's good fun watching Raimi cut loose again.

Add to myYahoo!Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and Tranformers: Revenge of the Fallen tied for first place over the 4th of July weekend, according to preliminary studio figures. Each movie earned a reported $42.5 million. Public Enemies came in third with $26 million.
It was expected that Ice Age and Transformers would come in close with the older-skewing Public Enemies doing respectable business but lagging. It is rare for the top two movies to tie, however.
Transformers is zeroing in on the $300 mark and already is the highest grossing movie of the year so far, according to figures gathered by The-Numbers.com.
The weekend started with Transformers and Ice Age running neck-and-neck, earning $17.8 million and $17 million respectively Friday. Public Enemies earned $10.1 million Friday.
Ice Age and Public Enemies both opened Wednesday. Ice Age led on Wednesday with $13.8 million, followed by Transformers with $10.9 million. Public Enemies came in third with $8.1 million. It's a respectable showing for the crime movie, a somber drama that targets adult audiences rather than the youngsters who make up the majority of ticket buyers.
