Add to myYahoo! With “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” theatrical release fast approaching, HBO has aired its “First Look” in two parts. It’s feature never before seen footage and tons of behind the scenes cast interviews and filmmaker discussion of just what it took to make what will almost certainly be the most ambitious entry in the franchise yet.
“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” will center its story at the time when Voldemort’s grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds is tightening. With Hogwarts no longer being the safe haven it once was, Dumbledore begins to prepare Harry for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Bringing in his old friend and colleague Professor Horace Slughorn, Dumbledore works together with Harry to unlock Voldemort’s defenses.
Directed by David Yates (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix), stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Michael Gambon, Tom Felton, Helena Bonham Carter and Robbie Coltrane among others.
Rated PG, Harry Potter 6 hits theaters on July 15th 2009. The IMAX release will be delayed by two weeks till July 29th.
