Finally this week has provided me with enough news to bring you that which you so desperately need, the Early Edition. And in this Early Edition we are going to take the tour of the world -- from the wild west shootout between two of Hollywood's biggest, CGI-est directors to the deep space voyages of the Starship Enterprise. We also may go back in time to talk about the fact that some film franchises that should really be left alone.So without further ado, and because I'm no friend to the concept of ado, lets get on with today's Early Edition:Bring Your 6-Inch Rulers!Hollywood bigshots McG (Terminator Salvation) and Michael Bay (Transformers 2) aren't only going to be warring at the box office this summer with their respective actioners, it also appears as if they will be whipping out their dicks to see whose robot is bigger. In a recent interview with Details, McG fired this most recent shot across Bay's, er, bow:"Michael Bay has a big cock. But I'd like to believe mine is bigger." McG smiles. "If he's up for it, we can both reveal ourselves on the Spartacus steps at Universal and put the question to rest."Oh, you kids and your toys.J.J. Abrams is All Flared Up!Speaking of interviews, Star Trek director J.J. Abrams went on record at the recent press conference for his soon-to-be-gigantic space movie and talked about some of the lens flares that are sure to either give audiences seizures or make his film look really cool. According to io9, Abrams claimed that he wanted a "visual system that felt unique." He went on to explain that "There are something about those flares, especially in a movie that can potentially be very sterile and CG and overly controlled. First Trailer for Adam Deals With Darkness, Finds
the Light

I may be a few days late to the party on this one, but in my opinion this movie isn't getting a lot of love, so it is worth coming back to. The first trailer for Fox Searchlight's Sundance '09 acquisition Adam, from director Max Mayer has debuted online courtesy of Yahoo Movies. Its a sweet little film about a young man named Adam (Hugh Dancy) living with Asperger syndrome. All he wants to do is live in his apartment and maybe, just maybe, find love. Of course it helps that a beautiful woman named Beth (Rose Byrne) has just moved in up stairs.As I said, its a sweet and charming film that keeps things light even though it is dealing with some rather serious situations, like a guy with Asperger syndrome. As I mentioned in my review from Sundance, "Adam works because its central characters have such great chemistry. Together on screen Rose Byrne and Hugh Dancy deliver Beth and Adam as an authentic pair, executing perfectly the film?s many tender and sweet moments." And I believe that you should see a little bit of that in the trailer below, as well as one of my favorite scenes of the movie that just so happens to be the final scene of the trailer.Adam will hit theaters in limited release on July 29, 2009.

Transformers 2 Trailer Gets Leaked Online

Put simply, the highly anticipated second trailer for Michael Bay's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has made its way online via the YouTubes. And while I'm sure it will be promptly pulled down -- mostly because the quality is ass -- it is worth showing you, because I know that you all like a little taste here and there. I won't say much about the trailer until we see the high definition version tomorrow afternoon, but I will say this: this blurry mess of a bootleg looks pretty rad.Check out the leaked version below while it still exists.
